Python Job: Data Engineer

Our client is an NGO active in the global health sector.

In order to support one of the data governance and analytics team, we are looking for a Data Engeneer, with about a year of hands-on experience minimum.

You will have the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment, with knowledgable and inspiring people around you. Whatever technical skills you lack, you'll be trained on the spot, and take part in the building of a new data platform.

• Build and maintain data integration pipeline from external sources or transactional platforms (SAP, Salesforces, MS Azure, PeopleSoft) to enable internal initiatives
• Design and implement data ingestion as well as traditional extract, transform and load processes
• Maintain data and analytics technical data infrastructure and ecosystem in collaboration with entreprise architect, data manager and service delivery manager
• Design optimization of existing processes such as enrichement, cleaning, corrections, and profiling
• Create and keep the documentation of data architecture and data plateform up to date
• Participate in the resolution of service desk tickets related to data and analytics infrastructure
• Provide insights on current data landscape by sharing data issues, rooms for improvements and prioritization

• You hold an university degree in IT, or equivalent professional work experience in the Data domain or IT area
• You have more than one year of successful experience in data engineer or data analytics
• You have very good knowledge of Python, Azure and SQL
• Experience with Data Catalogue, Data lake and Data Warehouse is a real asset
• Knowledge or experience on Cloud architecture, APIs, Spark or Databricks is a plus!
• Fluent in English (oral and written ) - French is an advantage
• You're available for the next 4 months at least (the contract has a solid chance of being renewed long term)
